VIDEO: A severe accident occurred in Sapon, Abeokuta, Ogun State earlier this afternoon, Tuesday, 17th of June 2025, where a Toyota Camry fell from Sapon Bridge onto a commercial taxi Nissan Micra.

The necessary authorities are currently managing the situation. Fortunately, no lives were lost; however, the driver of the Camry sustained serious injuries and has been taken to the hospital, and also the Nissan Micra occupants identified as Deborah Bankole, 60; Bankole Deborah Funmilola, 25; and a 7-month-old baby boy are all receiving treatment at General Hospital Ijaiye Abeokuta.

I have just concluded a solo protest at the Delta State Government House to draw urgent attention to the growing insecurity plaguing our communities.

I came here to express deep concern and to urge the government to prioritize funding for local vigilante groups. This is not just a protest—it is a call to action for the safety and protection of all Deltans.

This advocacy is the reason I resigned from my position as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor. I chose to stand with the people.
