SCENE ONE: Abandoned

The Sounds of a little girl's scream filled the whole Estate

Mrs Chaucer: (runs into the Little girls room and sees a beast) Veronica? (She stares at the beast)

Mr Chaucer: (runs into the room) what's going on here? (Sees the beast and stares at it)

LATER THAT DAY IN THE Chaucers' HOUSE- Mr and Mrs Chaucer are having a conversation

Mrs. Chaucer: we should have killed her when we had the chance

Mr. Chaucer: How can you say such a thing. Veronica is our daughter

Mrs. Chaucer: Veronica is a beast! She's monster and she can kill! Don't just pity her because of the innocent face she has... She was possessed by a demon before birth.... She is not human anymore

Mr. Chaucer: Then we can change her instead of killing her... Honey for five good years you couldn't conceive but now we have a beautiful....

Mrs. Chaucer: A beautiful beast! Honey am going to take her to the orphanage first thing tomorrow morning... Am tired of this... Of this.... Am tired of everything. I'll be off to my room now (leaves the living room)

Mr. Chaucer: (stares at his wife as she leaves)

Veronica: (stares at them from a corner)

THE NEXT DAY: Mrs Chaucer packed up some luggage containing Veronica's clothes and personal belongings

Veronica: (stares at her mom) where are you taking me to?

Mrs. Chaucer: You're going on vacation (fakes a smile)

Veronica: But school hasn't vacated (stares at her mom)

Mrs. Chaucer: You're going to visit my granny... Just for some days... I promise to bring you back (kisses Veronica's forehead)

Veronica: (stares at her mum) do you pinky promise?

Mrs. Chaucer: Yes I do. Let's go or we'll miss the bus

Mr. Chaucer: (comes in) I'll drop you guys off

Veronica: Dad.. am not sure I want to stay with granny

Mr. Chaucer: why not? She's a very nice person and she'll surely take care of you

Veronica: (beeps) okay (smiles)

SOME HOURS LATER: Mr and Mrs. Chaucer has reached the orphanage home

Veronica: this is not granny's house... This is an orphanage home

An elderly woman comes out from the building and approached them

Mrs. Lily: Sorry for keeping you waiting (shakes hand with them)

Mr. Chaucer: this is our daughter Veronica... She'll be here for a while

Mrs. Chaucer: Yes... We'll be back in some couple of days

Mrs. Lily: okay I'll get the documents for you to fill... Hello little girl... Let me show you your room

Veronica: i don't wanna go mum (looks at her mum with tears in her eyes)

Mrs. Chaucer: don't worry Mrs. Lily will take care of you.. I'll be back i promise (smiles)

After the signing of the documents and everything Mr and Mrs Chaucer left the orphanage home

Veronica: Am not sure they are going to come back (sobs)

Mrs. Lily: Yes they will... They've promised. Let's go inside... It's almost launch time (takes her in)
