For nearly 20 years, Jelili Olatunbosun has worked at the Ifo Local Government Council in Ogun State — running errands, carrying out official duties, and serving successive administrations.

He lives with cerebral palsy, but he is educated (SSCE holder) and fully capable. Yet for two decades, he has remained without proper employment status.

Reports say he is on the council’s payroll and currently paid ₦30,000 to continue working in an unofficial capacity.

Let’s be clear:
Paying someone ₦30,000 for 20 years of continuous service is not empowerment. It is exploitation.

If he is trusted enough to work for the council, he deserves formal employment, fair salary, and full benefits — not token payments.

20 years is not patience.
20 years is proof of neglect.

Ifo LG Council and Ogun State Government must do the right thing.
