Entertainer Urges Eleme Youths To Shun Social Vices
• Calls Multinational Companies to Support Gospel Entertainers of Eleme

Eleme born ace combo instrumentalist, Rufus Lale popularly known as Rufus Comb has called on the youths of Eleme to shun all forms of social vices.

The artist who hails from Ebubu in Eleme Local Government Area stressed that criminality does not pay and tasked the youths on self-development.

In an interview with Inside Eleme, Comb revealed that the challenges confronting upcoming gospel artistes in Eleme are lack of sponsorship, calling on the multinational companies in Eleme to encourage and support gospel artistes in Eleme.

Hear him, “Well it all started during a program called 5,000 youths conference organized by Apostle JC Williams. When Tony Combs was ministering so I fell in love with what he was doing and I also summoned courage to do it and that’s how I started.

“I think one of the challenges of gospel entertainers in Eleme is that they have skills, but they don’t have sponsors in the ministry so, I think if they have sponsors that can always encourage them in the gospel ministry. It will be of better benefit to the youths of Eleme. Apostle JC Winners, Joel Nwaka they have been very supportive, we have companies in Eleme like Indorama, NNPC, Intels and etc., including Elano Investments Limited. So I think they can also support the gospel entertainers in Eleme”, he suggested.

He said his next concert is billed for 8th of December, 2020 assuring that it would be a remarkable event as it would also mark his birthday. “It will be one that would transform the lives of the youths of Eleme. This year’s concert is not just the same, other different talents are going to showcase as in what you are going to experience inside life and that is why the theme is tagged: Inside Life Experience to show your talents and other things”.

Advising the youths, Comb said: “My message to the youths out there in Eleme is for them to have this positive mindset and also have the mind of developing their talents, not to go into criminal acts but developing the skills of dancing, acting, motivational talks. They should go and engage themselves and also do some things that will promote and also give Eleme a good name”.

On his challenges, he said: “My challenges then were that I was not having sponsors to encourage me so, it was like I would give up like, I would not sing a song again, nobody to help me. So, at first I also got reasons that am doing this for others to transform lives so, that would be my motivation so, I also came up with different ideas to start up a business which also made me to pop up and have that courage to continue with my gospel entertainments”.

Comb who is also a pop-corn entrepreneur, said it was through the sales regenerated from his pop-corn business that he usually sponsors his concerts and other activities.
