SHAME TO HATERS

“And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.” (Luke 13: 17)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, after Jesus had replied the ruler of the synagogue, all His adversaries were ashamed. So, the ruler of the synagogue was not the only adversary in the picture. There were other adversaries who simply did not speak but hid behind the ruler of the synagogue who seemed to speak their minds. There were several adversaries who opposed Jesus and were not favourably disposed to the miracle He did for the woman in focus.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: in this season and beyond, all your known and unknown adversaries will be put to shame. All those who have gathered against you will fall for your sake. All those who are secretly plotting against your destiny will be put to shame. All those who are deliberately working against your rising will be put to shame. All those who are speaking against you openly and secretly will be put to shame.

Hear me as I hear the Lord: you may not have a grip on the numbers of those against you, but as surely as the Lord lives, they will all be put to shame. All those who have teamed up against you will be put to shame. The devices of the wicked against you will be disappointed. The plans of the wicked against you will be discomfited. Those who have arisen against you will not prevail in their evil plans against you. Your haters will be put to shame.

If God be for you, the wicked plans of your haters will not succeed. If God be for you, He will shame and disappoint those who are planning to laugh and smile while you wallow in bitter tears. If God be for you, those who have planned to make your life end in bitter tears will wait forever. If God be for you, those who are secretly plotting against you will be shamed openly. If God be for you, no wicked man will celebrate against you.

Welcome to that season where El Roi Himself will shame your adversaries. Welcome to that season where your adversaries will be put to shame.

Job 5: 12 says: “He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.”
