2. Create and format bulleted and numbered lists.

3. Use Word’s design features, including themes and styles.

4. Adjust page layout settings, including margins, orientation, and paper size.

1. Advanced Text and Paragraph Formatting

Text Formatting Tools:

Superscript and Subscript:

Found in the Font group under the Home tab.

Used for text like scientific notations (e.g., H₂O or E=mc²).

Text Effects:

Apply shadow, glow, or reflection effects to text using the Text Effects option.

Clear Formatting:

Remove all formatting from selected text using the Clear All Formatting button in the Font group.

Paragraph Formatting Tools:

Borders and Shading:

Add borders or shading to paragraphs for emphasis using the Borders tool in the Paragraph group.

Paragraph Spacing:

Adjust spacing before or after paragraphs under Layout > Spacing.

Tab Stops and Indents:

Set custom tab stops and adjust indentation for paragraphs under Ruler or Paragraph Settings.

2. Creating and Formatting Lists

Bulleted Lists:

Use for non-sequential information.

Add bullets under Home > Paragraph > Bullets.

Themes:

Found under Design > Themes.

Apply a pre-designed set of fonts, colors, and effects for a consistent document look.

Customize themes by adjusting Colors, Fonts, or Effects in the Design tab.

Styles:

Found under Home > Styles.

Apply pre-designed text formatting to headings, titles, or normal text.

Modify or create new styles using the Styles Pane for custom designs.

4. Page Layout and Design Tools

Margins:

Adjust the space between text and the edge of the paper under *Layout > Margins.

Choose presets (Normal, Narrow, Wide) or customize margins.

Orientation:

Switch between Portrait and Landscape layouts under *Layout > Orientation.

Paper Size:

Select standard sizes (e.g., A4, Letter) or set a custom size under Layout > Size.

Columns:

Split text into multiple columns under Layout > Columns.

Customize column width, spacing, and lines between columns.

Page Borders and Colors:

Add page borders under Design > Page Borders.

Apply a page color under Design > Page Color.
