DAY 29: LET LOVE BE THE LANGUAGE OF YOUR MARRIAGE

📖 1 Corinthians 13:4–7

Love should be more than something we say in marriage; it should be something our spouse experiences through our words, actions, patience, and attitude.

1 Corinthians 13 reminds us that love is patient and kind. It does not envy, boast, or keep records of wrongs. Love does not give up easily when things become difficult. It chooses forgiveness, understanding, humility, and faithfulness.

In marriage, there will be days when you disagree, misunderstand each other, or feel hurt. Those moments reveal whether love is truly guiding your response. Instead of allowing anger to control your words, choose kindness. Instead of keeping a record of your spouse’s mistakes, choose forgiveness. Instead of withdrawing love because you are disappointed, choose to communicate and work through the issue.

Let love be the language your spouse hears in your words, sees in your actions, and feels in your presence.

A marriage becomes stronger when both partners intentionally choose to love, not only when everything is going well, but also when things are difficult. Let your home be a place where love speaks louder than anger, pride, criticism, and resentment.

Lord, teach me to love my spouse with patience and kindness, in Jesus name.

Help me to forgive quickly and stop keeping records of wrongs, in Jesus name.

Let my words and actions bring love, peace, and healing into my marriage, in Jesus name.

Help us to build a marriage where Your love is always our foundation, in Jesus name.

Sin is being celebrated, while righteousness is mocked. What a generation! 💔

Lord, have mercy on us and help us return to Your ways. 🙏🏽

Don’t be so focused on what’s next that you forget to appreciate what is here. ❤️

Sometimes, we become so eager for the next level, the next achievement, the next breakthrough, or the next chapter that we fail to notice how far we’ve already come.

One day, you will wake up and realize that you are living the very life you once prayed for. 🥹

So, while you anticipate what’s next, don’t forget to appreciate the journey. Appreciate the little wins. Appreciate your growth. Appreciate where you are right now.

Because where you are today was once a place you desperately prayed to reach.

Be grateful for today while trusting God for tomorrow. ❤️

Day 28: Speak With Kindness Even When Hurt

📖 Proverbs 31:26 — “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.”

Marriage will have moments when your spouse hurts you, disappoints you, or says something that touches a sensitive place in your heart. In those moments, it is easy to respond with anger, harsh words, or words meant to hurt back.

But kindness is most powerful when it is shown when you are hurting.

Speaking with kindness does not mean pretending that everything is fine or ignoring what needs to be addressed. It means choosing to communicate your pain without destroying the person you love. You can be honest without being cruel. You can correct without insulting. You can express your disappointment without using words that leave lasting wounds.

Sometimes, a gentle response can calm an argument before it becomes a major conflict. Words spoken in anger may be forgotten by the person who said them, but they can remain in the heart of the person who heard them.

Ask God to help you control your tongue, especially when emotions are high. Let your marriage be a place where both of you feel safe to communicate, even during difficult moments.
