Redesigning a historic Anglican church in Abuja wasn’t just another project — it felt like returning home.

Raised in both Catholic and Anglican traditions, I grew up surrounded by the quiet strength of sacred architecture. The incense, the organ hymns, the soaring arches — all these left a mark on me long before I ever picked up a pencil to sketch.

So when this opportunity came, I knew it was a calling — not just a commission.

With deep reverence for the history, I approached the redesign not to tear down, but to build upon the legacy.
To listen before sketching.
To preserve the soul, even while refreshing the skin.

I’m grateful for the chance to design a space that bridges generations — where the old still speaks, and the new doesn’t shout over it.

A massive thank you to Arc. Lamido Yusufu, the diocesan architect, for believing in my vision and trusting me with such a spiritually significant project. Your support was the doorway to this moment, and I don’t take it lightly.

To the past that shaped me, and the future we’re building — thank you.
