POLICE URGE PROTEST GROUPS TO RESPECT COURT ORDER; WARN AGAINST HIJACKERS β PUNITIVE MEASURES AWAIT OFFENDERS
The Nigeria Police Force reaffirms its unwavering commitment to upholding the rule of law and maintaining public peace in accordance with constitutional provisions. This follows the subsisting Order of the Federal High Court, Abuja Division, given on 17th October, 2025, by Honourable Justice M.G. Umar, in Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/2202/2025 β Federal Republic of Nigeria v. Omoyele Sowore & 4 others. The Order restrains the respondents and any other persons or groups acting under their instruction from staging protests within and around A*o Rock Villa and its environs, the National Assembly Complex, Force Headquarters, the Court of Appeal, Eagle Square and Shehu Shagari Way.
In deference to the authority of the Court and in line with the constitutional mandate of the Police to enforce law and order, the Force hereby calls on all groups β whether in support of or opposed to the ongoing agitation for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu β to adhere strictly to the provisions of the court order. The directive remains binding and enforceable pending further judicial proceedings.
The Nigeria Police Force recognises and respects the rights of citizens to peaceful assembly and expression. However, such rights must be exercised responsibly and within the limits of the law, particularly where public safety, national security, and the rights of other citizens are concerned. The Courtβs intervention is therefore a safeguard, not a suppression, of constitutional freedoms.
Accordingly, all intending protesters and counter-protest groups are strongly advised to avoid restricted areas and to refrain from any act capable of provoking confrontation or disturbing public order. The Force will ensure the free flow of traffic, protection of lives and property, and security of all law-abiding citizens.
Any person or group that uses protests as cover to incite violence, carry or use off

The Time Has Come: Why We Must Stand for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu
The injustice against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is no longer just about one man it is about the soul of a people, the dignity of a nation, and the truth that those in power are desperate to silence. For years, he has been held in detention against every principle of justice, against court rulings, and against the will of the people. This is not law. This is oppression.
Every day he remains in captivity is a reminder that the system has chosen fear over freedom, propaganda over truth, and intimidation over justice. They want us to bow our heads. They want us to accept lies as normal. They want us to believe that one manβs voice can be buried. But they are wrong.
This Is Bigger Than Kanu
When they silence him, they silence us all. When they cage him, they cage the right of every Nigerian to speak, to question, to demand better. His struggle is not tribal. It is not political gamesmanship. It is the universal cry for freedom, dignity, and justice.
If we allow this injustice to stand, then tomorrow it will be anyone who dares to speak truth. Today it is Kanu. Tomorrow it could be you.
We Must Rise
This is the moment to rise above fear. This is the moment to reject the propaganda. This is the moment to stand shoulder to shoulder and say: enough is enough.
The security agencies may try to intimidate us, but they cannot intimidate the truth. They may carry guns, but they cannot shoot down justice. They may spread lies, but they cannot erase the reality that the people are awake.
Fearless and Unbroken
We are not begging. We are demanding. We are not afraid. We are resolved. We are not divided. We are united.
On October 20th, 2025, the world must see a people who refuse to be silenced. A people who will not bow to fear. A people who know that freedom is not given it is taken by those who dare to stand.
The Call
Let history record that when injustice rose, we did not hide. Let it be writt
