Long Shot, unlike the extreme long shot, is a closer shot of an area where viewers can have a better look of what’s going on, however, still not close enough to actually be emotionally attached to the scene.

The subjects are usually closer to the camera but far enough to have their whole bodies in view.

This shot can be used to create the effect of making your viewers feel like a bystander in the scene.
