Before I came in here, many people texted me, 'Oh, please don’t speak about Trump,' and I just laughed. I'm Nigerian, I'm a Christian, my father is a pastor, and my family are all Christians. This is politics taken too far.

Trump’s Genocide Allegation Against Tinubu’s Govt Shows US Intelligence Has Failed – NOA

The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lanre Issa-Onilu, has taken a swipe at President Donald Trump, saying his allegation of genocide is as a failure of the United States’ intelligence.

Issa-Onilu stated this at the monthly National Joint Security press briefing held in Abuja on Monday, adding that this is not the first time that the U.S intelligence failed.

He cited instances where the intelligence failed in Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan.

“This is not the first time that the intelligence of the United States failed Americans. It failed in Iraq, it turned out that there was no weapon of mass destruction and they apologized,” he stated.

“It failed them in Libya and many other instances. So I’m sure this is another error in their intelligence gathering Beyond that, we all are Nigerians. We know that there are killings IN Nigeria and there are killings that should never happen.

In an explosive post on his Truth Social platform on Saturday, US President Trump said that he asked the Pentagon to map out a possible plan of attack in Nigeria, one day after warning that Christianity was “facing an existential threat” in Africa’s most populous country.

In his post, Trump said that if Nigeria does not stem the killings, the United States will attack and “it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians.”

Trump on Sunday also repeated his threat of a military operation in Nigeria over the killings of Christians, after the Nigerian presidency suggested a meeting to resolve the issue.
Asked if he was considering US troops on the ground in Nigeria or air strikes, Trump replied: “Could be, I mean, a lot of things — I envisage a lot of things.”

“They’re killing the Christians and killing them in very large numbers. We’re not going to allow that to happen,” he added.

As I Got To Herbert's New House I Wasn't Happy, I Didn't Know When He Began Building The House—Wigwe

Shyngle Wigwe, the father of late Herbert Wigwe, former Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank, has stated that he was unhappy when he first saw the new house Herbert built before his death.

He said the house was too extravagant for his liking and that he had tried to caution Herbert about it, but by then it was already too late.

Shyngle said that when he visited the new house for the first time, he was displeased because it looked too luxurious.

He said he never knew about the construction of the house until it was completed because his son deliberately kept it from him, knowing he would not approve of it.

In Shyngle's words: "I got to the new house I was not happy. It was very ostentàtious, I didn't like it one bit. I tried (to caution him) but it was too late. When he started building that house, I knew nothing about it"

“Imagine the Nigerian police beating up my brother like a criminal” — Regina Daniels drags Ned Nwoko again in fresh post

Actress Regina Daniels has continued to call out her billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko, in a new post where she accused him of using police officers to violently arrest her brother.

In her Instagram story, she wrote:

“Imagine the Nigerian police beating up my brother like a criminal. What exactly was the violent arrest for? Ned, you have power, connections and money right? Wild for you to think I have none.”

Regina didn’t hold back as she warned her husband, hinting that she’s capable of exposing more about him:

“What I wouldn’t want to do to you is let the man I once saw as an iroko fall before everyone because you bloody know your little girl Gina is capable of that!”

She went on to express deep frustration about the state of things, especially concerning her children:

“I just hate this feeling of wishing my boys’ father’s name remains a legacy. You know why? Boys don’t grow to change their surnames.”

This comes just hours after Regina earlier cried out online, claiming that her siblings had been arrested and that she was being forced to return to “rehab.”

Peter Obi Writes On The US - Nigeria Genocide Matter!!

The recent pronouncement by the US government declaring Nigeria a ‘Country of Particular Concern' (CPC) and indicating possible military action should give every well-meaning Nigerian serious concern.

There is no doubt that Nigeria is experiencing an unprecedented level of insecurity with attendant carnage and the most shocking loss of lives and property. According to Amnesty International, over 10,000 people have been killed in Nigeria since May 2023 and as I have repeatedly lamented, the unwarranted and unprovoked killing of Nigerians is most condemnable, and all efforts must be made to bring it to a stop. It is equally important to state that the terrible situation is significantly avoidable with competent leadership and governance.

While the insecurity did not start with the present government, what is most unfortunate is the lack and absence of competence, commitment, prudent use of resources, patriotism and passion on the part of APC APC-led government/leaders to effectively govern, galvanise and lead Nigeria where no one is unwarrantedly oppressed and killed, a Nation where peace, truth and justice reign!

As democracies, Nigeria and the US have long been strategic partners committed to regional peace and security. That relationship should not falter. The present situation calls for constructive diplomatic and any other plausible engagement by both nations aimed at addressing the prevailing and disturbing security concerns. Both countries must work in concert and expeditiously towards that purpose.

US releases AI video showing how it could storm Nigeria to wipe out ‘Islamic terrorists’

The United States Department of War has sparked global attention after releasing an artificial intelligence (AI) video simulating military action in Nigeria aimed at eliminating “Islamic terrorists.”

The announcement comes amid claims of targeted attacks against Christians in Africa’s most populous nation.

Trump Warns of Possible Military Action
President Donald Trump stated that he had instructed the US Department of War to prepare for potential “fast” military intervention in Nigeria.

The warning emphasized that action may be taken if the Nigerian government fails to address what Trump described as the ongoing killing of Christians in the country.

AI Video Sparks Controversy
The video, generated using AI, depicts a simulated military operation in Nigeria.

It was shared on social media by Dominik Tarczyński, a member of the European Parliament, who wrote: “Nigerian Christians will be rescued very soon!”

The clip quickly went viral, drawing both concern and criticism from observers worldwide.

Background: Religious Tensions in Nigeria
Nigeria, home to over 200 million people and roughly 200 ethnic groups, remains deeply divided along religious lines.

The largely Muslim north and predominantly Christian south have seen repeated clashes over the years.

Islamist insurgents such as Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province have caused widespread devastation, primarily in the northeast, though analysts note that most victims have been Muslims.

Ongoing Violence in Central and Northwest Nigeria
Beyond the northeast, central Nigeria has experienced persistent conflicts between mostly Muslim herders and mainly Christian farmers over land and water access.

Meanwhile, in the northwest, armed groups frequently attack villages and kidnap residents for ransom, adding to the country’s security challenges.

International Reactions and Implications
The release of the AI video has sparked strong reactions internationally, with critics questioning the US’s approach and its potential impact on Nigeria’s sovereignty.
