Battle of Salamis (480 BC) – The Greek navy, heavily outnumbered, lured the Persian fleet into the narrow straits near Salamis. Using superior seamanship and the confined waters, the Greeks smashed the Persian ships and turned the tide of the entire invasion.

In the year 326 before the common era…

On the banks of the Hyphasis River, at the farthest edge of the known world, the greatest army the earth had ever seen stood still.

Alexander of Macedon — conqueror of Persia, master of Egypt, son of a god in the eyes of many — looked upon the endless lands that still waited beyond the river. His men, weary from years of glory and blood, longed for home.

And so he climbed a rocky ridge, the wind lifting his crimson cloak like a banner of destiny itself. Below him stretched the legions that had followed him from the mountains of Greece to the gates of India.

In that golden hour, with the sun bleeding across the dust of empire, he spoke not to command… but to remind them who they had become.

This is the moment the world held its breath —
when one man’s voice tried to turn the tide of history…
and the price of glory was weighed against the longing for home.
