While attending a singles hangout organized by my fellowship on 18 October 2017, I saw this beautiful damsel, though a stranger at the time, walk into the botanical garden at the University of Ibadan with a fellow member (Ayandoyin) of my fellowship. She wore a patterned bodycon gown. Her presence caught my attention, as I remembered what she wore that day. I just admired her and moved on.

After a while , I noticed this stranger had become a regular attendee at my fellowship activities, and that was it. During one of the breaks, I didn’t go home because I had two chemistry tests scheduled for January 3. She found out through our level group chat that some guys and I had stayed at school and sent a text to check on us. That’s how we started talking and became friends.

We made things official after I made my intentions known in 2020, and it has been an amazing ride with my “Ride or Die.”

How wonderful it is that a total stranger will be the person you wake up next to for the rest of your life. I love it for us.
