Nigerian woman

A young woman has opened up about her recent breakup, sharing her experience as a cautionary tale for others about taking a partner’s kindness for granted.

In her account, she revealed that the breakup began during a disagreement, when she suggested ending the relationship.

She admitted she expected her partner to resist and fight to save the relationship—but to her surprise, he agreed immediately and without hesitation.

“I thought he would come back after some time, maybe even beg me to take him back,” she confessed. “But weeks passed, and he never did.”

Reflecting on their time together, she acknowledged that her ex had always been calm, patient, and willing to apologise—even when she was clearly in the wrong. She admitted that his consistent understanding and gentleness had made her grow too comfortable in the relationship, taking his efforts for granted.

Since the breakup, she said she had been seeing other men but quickly realized that none of them matched the patience and kindness of her former partner. Her story serves as a reminder to appreciate and value partners who treat us with respect and understanding.

My wife had a big house before we got married, but right before the marriage, she told me she wouldn’t let me live in her house with her because of obvious reasons. When I asked what she was going to do with the house, she said she was going to sell it and invest the money for her daughter, so I should rent a place for us to live in after the marriage.

We tried. We moved from one place to another looking for a place to live, but all the nice places we found were either too expensive or too far. We couldn’t get a place until she got pregnant and told me we should suspend the search until she gave birth.

We’ve been married for two years, but I live in a single-room self-contained apartment while my wife lives in her mansion. I try to be patient because of her past. But at what point does patience turn into neglect..? 👇🏾👇🏾

The Man Started Visiting The Woman Regularly, The Boy Objected, Warning Him Several Times — Residents

According to a report by Punch on Friday, March 20, 2026, tension gripped the Uli community in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State following a tragic incident that occurred on Sunday night, leaving residents in shock and distress.

A man identified simply as Gozie was alleged to have killed his lover’s only son after a prolonged period of disagreement over his relationship with the boy’s mother.

The victim, believed to be in his twenties, was said to have consistently opposed the man’s frequent visits to their home, which had been a source of conflict within the household.

According to information gathered from residents, the relationship between the deceased and the suspect had been strained for some time.

Neighbours described a pattern of regular disputes between both individuals, often escalating into heated arguments.

The young man reportedly expressed strong disapproval of the relationship, particularly as the suspect’s visits became more frequent.

The situation reportedly worsened when the man began spending nights in the house, an action that further deepened the tension between them.

An eyewitness in the community explained that suspicion arose when neighbours noticed an unusual silence in the compound where the incident occurred.

For several days, the occupants were not seen carrying out their normal daily activities, which prompted concern among residents.

This unusual absence led some neighbours to check the premises, where they made a disturbing discovery.

The victim was found lifeless in his room, lying in a pool of blood, a scene that immediately drew attention and alarm within the area.

Following the discovery, the incident was reported to security authorities for further investigation.

The remains of the deceased were later taken to a morgue. In the aftermath of the incident, emotions ran high among residents, especially youths within the community.

A video that circulated widely showed a group of young people conveying the body in a wheelbarrow through parts of the community, expressing anger over the situation and calling for justice.

Further details indicated that the victim’s mother had relocated to Uli after the death of her husband, who was said to be from a neighbouring community.

Since her return, her relationship with the suspect had reportedly caused repeated disagreements between him and her son.

Residents noted that the young man had consistently challenged the presence of the suspect in their home, warning him to stay away.

Despite these warnings, the visits reportedly continued, contributing to ongoing friction.

Resident said, "The man started visiting the woman regularly, and the boy objected, warning him several times. This often led to quarrels. At some point, the man began staying overnight, which further angered the boy.”
