Sarah LadipoMayinka was raised in Nigeria and has lived in kenya, France, and and England. She hold a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkely, and teaches literature at San Francisco State University. Her writing includes easay, academic papers, reviews and short stories. In Dependence is her first novels and her most recent novel is, Like a mule Bringing Ice Cream to the sun. Sarah sits on the boards of Hedgebrook and San Francisco's Museum of the African Diaspora
