The Centre for Information Technology and Development has distributed learning materials and recruited three additional teachers for Kwandawa Nomadic Primary School in Jama’are Local Government Area of Bauchi State as part of efforts to improve access to quality education in the community.
The intervention followed concerns over the shortage of teaching staff at the school, which previously operated with only one teacher despite the growing number of pupils.
The newly recruited teachers are expected to support effective teaching and learning, while the learning materials provided will assist pupils in their academic activities.
Community members and education stakeholders described the initiative as timely, noting that it would help strengthen learning outcomes and encourage school enrolment among children in the area.
