In order to live a life of purpose, focus on your circle of influence.
A young man from a very poor family was given the opportunity to study at a prestigious university in Veracruz in the 1700s. Because of his background, he was constantly mocked, insulted, and treated with disrespect by wealthy students and even lecturers. They judged him by his appearance, silence, and lack of social status, assuming he was ignorant and insignificant.
Despite the humiliation, he remained calm and focused. He spoke little, never tried to defend himself, and dedicated himself fully to learning. Over time, his intelligence, discipline, and wisdom became evident. When a major academic challenge arose—one that none of the proud elites could solve—he provided the solution effortlessly.
Only then did people realize their mistake. The young man went on to become a respected scholar and leader, while those who mocked him were left ashamed. The story ends with the lesson that silence, humility, and perseverance often hide greatness, and that explaining yourself to those who already judge you is unnecessary.
Moral lesson:
Clarity is good, but peace is better. Not everyone deserves an explanation.
The help of God and the help of man both play important roles in life, but they are very different in nature and understanding both helps you live with balance, faith, and wisdom.

🚨 New Nigerian Tax Law – What You Should Know 🚨
The Nigeria Tax Act 2025 brings major changes:
✅ Diaspora Nigerians who spend 183 days or more (in any 12-month period) in Nigeria will now be considered tax residents.
✅ Tax residents must pay tax on their global income – not just money earned in Nigeria.
✅ The law also covers content creators, freelancers, and social media influencers – including income earned online or abroad.
✅ Non-residents will still only pay tax on Nigeria-sourced income.
✅ Limited exemptions and double taxation relief may apply, but you must keep good records of your days in Nigeria and foreign taxes paid.
📌 What this means:
If you live abroad but spend long periods in Nigeria, or if you earn money digitally (ads, sponsorships, online gigs), you may now owe Nigerian tax on all your income.
