The Unraveling: Inside the Nigeria Fake Agency Scandal
Power. Deceit. Fake Fronts.
A story of unprecedented institutional deception is coming to light. For years, shadow operations masked themselves as official entities, pulling off one of the most audacious scams in recent history. Now, the mask is slipping.
In this exclusive deep-dive, we separate fact from fiction, revealing how these fake agencies were established, who authorized them, and the massive fallout shaking the political landscape.
Imagine waking up, dressing up in a sharp suit, and heading to your office on the 2nd Floor of the Federal Secretariat Complex (Phase III) in Abuja... except the entire government agency you are running doesn't actually exist. 🤯🇳🇬This isn’t a movie plot. It actually happened right here in Nigeria.A man named Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew allegedly set up a completely fictitious entity called the "Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council" (sometimes passing as the Presidential Economic Advisory Council). Here is how wild the story gets:🔹 The Setup: He forged the appointment letters, the Chief of Staff's signature, reference numbers, and official seals to claim he was a legitimately appointed Director-General. He then literally secured an office space right inside the high-security Federal Secretariat in Abuja.🔹 The Operations: For months, the "agency" was fully functional. They hosted official meetings with unsuspecting Nigerian citizens and actual foreign diplomats. They even wrote to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs requesting a "note verbale" to help secure United States visas for their "staff"!🔹 The Finances: Investigators found that he operated a staggering 34 different bank accounts under fake names. He even managed to mislead the Accountant-General's office into opening an account for him directly with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The whole scheme finally blew up when the real Nigerian Investment Promotion Council (NIPC) complained to the Presidency that another "agency" seemed to be doing their exact job but at cross-purposes. The suspect was arrested and hit with an 8-count criminal charge at the Federal High Court. But it leaves a lot of questions unanswered. How does a person set up an illegal, parallel government agency inside a high-profile federal building for months without being vetted? Watch the full breakdown in my latest video!👇 Let’s talk in the comments:Is this just the work of an incredibly bold con artist, or does it point to a massive security and administrative loophole in our secretariats?
