How much longer will these innocent children and their teachers be left to suffer?

For over two weeks, more than 40 school children and their teachers have remained in the hands of kidnappers. These children, who should be sitting in classrooms learning, laughing with friends, and dreaming about their future, are instead trapped in fear, pain, and uncertainty.

Reports say they are being tortured. One of the teachers has already been killed. Families back home are living through unimaginable heartbreak, waking up every day praying for a miracle, hoping for news that their loved ones are finally safe.

Yet while these innocent lives hang in the balance, there seems to be little urgency from those entrusted with protecting them. The silence is painful. The inaction is devastating.

These are not just statistics. These are human beings. They are children. They are teachers. They are sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters.

The thought that children are spending their days and nights in the bush, hungry, terrified, and wondering if anyone is coming to save them, is a tragedy that should shake every conscience.

This could be any of us. It could be our children. It could be our families.

We are pleading with the authorities: please do everything possible to rescue these children and their teachers. Every passing day deepens the trauma and increases the suffering.

Their lives matter. Their safety matters. Their future matters.

Bring them home.
