Choosing yourself will disappoint people who became comfortable with you choosing them first. Be okay with letting that happen. You cannot build a life around keeping everyone else comfortable while abandoning yourself. There will come a point when you have to decide whether being liked is more important than being at peace; choose peace. The people meant for you will never ask you to abandon yourself just to keep them. ✍🏽
