MARCH EDUCATION ADVOCACY MESSAGE
Child's Holistic Development Under Fire Protecting Learning for Displaced Children

Planned migration is difficult enough. Families who prepare to relocate often do so with time to plan schooling, housing, and continuity for their children.

But across Nigeria today, many families are not moving by choice.

They are fleeing.
Crisis-induced displacement has forced thousands of families to leave their communities overnight abandoning homes, livelihoods, and stability. When families arrive in new towns and cities, survival becomes the immediate priority.

And for many children, education is the first casualty.

Children who were once active students suddenly become out-of-school not because they lack ability or desire to learn, but because displacement strips families of financial capacity, documentation, uniforms, and admission access.

Days turn into weeks. Weeks become months.
The longer a child stays out of school, the greater the risks: learning loss, emotional distress, exposure to unsafe environments, child labour, early marriage, and long-term social exclusion.

Education is more than classroom instruction. It provides structure, protection, psychosocial stability, and hope. School restores normalcy for children whose sense of safety has been disrupted.

At this critical moment, a compassionate administrative response can change life trajectories.

We respectfully appeal to education authorities and policymakers to consider a temporary standing directive allowing public school heads to enroll children from verified displaced communities without immediate payment of fees — even on a provisional basis — while families rebuild their socio-economic footing.

Such a measure would not only preserve learning continuity but also protect vulnerable children during one of the most fragile periods of their lives.

A child displaced by crisis should not also be displaced from education.
Providing temporary access to schooling affirms a simple national commitment: that every child, regardless of circumstance, deserves continuity of learning and the opportunity to grow into a productive citizen.
Small administrative flexibility today can prevent long-term educational loss tomorrow.
Together, we can ensure that displacement does not define a child’s future.

Many teenagers have caught the “Valentine Fever.”

MindScope Center for Development and Transformation Initiative (MCDTI) is currently on a school awareness tour to help cure the “Lust Fever” affecting many young minds.
We call on parents, guardians, educators, faith leaders, and well-meaning adults to join us in guiding our teenagers with truth, wisdom, and love.
Let us remind them that:
👉 Love is patient.
👉 Love is respectful.
👉 Love protects dignity and future.
👉 Love is NOT lust.
Together, we can raise a generation that understands healthy relationships, self-worth, and responsible choices.
Join us in spreading the message: LOVE IS NOT LUST.

In this month of February, may God work in you to be, to live, and to act according to His perfect plan for your life.

May His Covenant Mercy speak for you and your household. May His mercy cause lines to fall for you in pleasant places.

May you experience divine alignment, favor, peace, progress, and fulfillment in all that concerns you.

You will not miss your season. You will not miss your purpose. God’s perfect will shall be established in your life and family.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you receive this prayer, kindly type your Amen.

Teenage is the season of questions.
What? Why? How? Where? Who am I becoming?

But sadly, many teenagers stop asking not because the questions are gone, but because the attitude of adults has taught them silence.

Some turn to faceless counselors on the internet for answers to their deepest struggles.
Others simply follow the loudest voices of friends, trends, and society.

Yet the burden of unanswered questions in a teenager’s heart is real and where they receive counsel can shape their future.

That is why we must be sensitive.
Emotionally intelligent.
Available.
Willing to listen.
Positioned as safe and trusted guides.

This is who we are and what we do at MindScope Center for Development and Transformation Initiative (MCDTI).
We intentionally create spaces where teenagers are heard, guided, and equipped to grow into healthy, purposeful adults.

You can be part of this transformation.
Join us today as a volunteer, partner, or donor.
