GOVERNOR MUTFWANG COMMISERATES WITH THE GUSHOP, ASHOM, AND WOSHI FAMILIES OVER THE LOSS OF THEIR LOVED ONES
The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang , has extended his deep sympathies to the Gushop, Ashom, and Woshi families as they mourn the loss of their loved ones.
In a remark during a condolence visit to Chief Jerry Gushop and his family, Governor Mutfwang who was accompanied by the Deputy Governor, Ngo Josephine Piyo, expressed profound grief over the passing of their beloved son, Mr. Pankyes Jerry Gushop.
Describing the loss as a great tragedy not only to the Gushop family but also to the youth community and the state at large, the Governor stated:
"I extend my heartfelt condolences to my brother, Chief Jerry Gushop, his dear wife, and the entire family. The news of this painful death has left me deeply shocked and saddened. In times like this, we find ourselves asking difficult questions, but we must trust that only God has the answers."
The Governor prayed for God’s comfort to uphold the family and give them the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss.
In his response, Chief Jerry Gushop thanked the Governor for his consistent show of compassion, recounting how the Governor also stood by his family during previous losses. He expressed gratitude for the Governor's unwavering support and care.
Governor Mutfwang also visited the residence of Chief Andrew Ashom to console him over the untimely passing of his wife, Mrs. Teni Andrew Ashom, after a brief illness.
Speaking during the visit, the Governor noted that Mrs. Teni departed at a time her companionship was most needed by her husband, adding:
"Only God holds the calendar of our lives. Though her passing is painful, we are consoled by the legacy of love, kindness, and generosity she leaves behind. My prayer is that God grants you the strength to endure this great loss."
Responding on behalf of the family, Engr. Yakubu Ashoms expressed gratitude for the Governor's visit and comforting words. He said the family felt supported and not alone during this moment of grief.
Governor Mutfwang also extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the Plateau State Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr. Mrs. Kachollom Gang and the entire Woshi family, over the passing of their aged mother, Ngo Roseline Kaneng Woshi, at the age of 91.
Describing Mama Woshi as a beacon of hope and a pillar of godliness, Governor Mutfwang celebrated her life as one well-lived, highlighting her contributions to raising godly and educated children who are positively impacting Plateau State.
He remarked: "Mama’s passing at the ripe age of 91 calls for celebration. While we mourn her loss, we are consoled by the enduring legacy she has left behind. May her wise counsel continue to guide the younger generation."
Engr. Daniel Gyang Woshi, responding on behalf of the family, appreciated the Governor’s visit and kind words, noting that Mama’s life was indeed worthy of celebration.
He commended the Governor’s exemplary leadership, selflessness, and compassion, pledging the family’s continued support for his administration.
