Issued by: Clinton Garuba, Media Consultant
The attention of my principal, Da Jonah David Jang, has been drawn to circulating rumours suggesting he is considering a move to the All Progressives Congress (APC) or that he is aware of any plan by Governor Caleb Mutfwang to decamp.
We wish to state clearly and unequivocally that:
1. Da Jonah Jang remains a committed, loyal, and unwavering member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
His political convictions have not changed, and there is no contemplation whatsoever of defecting to the APC or any other political platform.
2. The former governor is not aware of any plan real or imagined by Governor Caleb Mutfwang to leave the PDP.
Any such insinuations exist only in the imaginations of those eager to sow confusion, tension, and mistrust within the political space in Plateau State.
3. Rumour-mongers are advised to desist.
The repeated attempt to drag Da Jang’s name into speculative political narratives is unnecessary, misleading, and entirely without basis.
Da Jonah David Jang remains focused on supporting the stability of the PDP, strengthening democratic institutions, and encouraging unity among stakeholders and citizens of Plateau State.
We urge the public, party faithful, and the media to disregard these baseless reports and continue to promote accuracy and responsible political discourse.

GOVERNOR CALEB MUTFWANG IN NO SECRET DEAL WITH THE APC REMAINS A LOYAL AND COMMITTED PDP GOVERNOR
The attention of the Plateau State Government has been drawn to a series of unfounded, mischievous and deliberately misleading rumours circulating within certain political circles, insinuating that His Excellency, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, is involved in a clandestine arrangement with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
For the avoidance of doubt and in the interest of truth, clarity and public confidence, we wish to state emphatically that there is no such deal, no such discussion, and no such intention anywhere public or private.
Governor Mutfwang remains a bona fide, dedicated and loyal member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and continues to uphold the values and commitments of the party under which he was overwhelmingly elected by the good people of Plateau State.
These rumours are the handiwork of political speculators who thrive on deceit, sensationalism and unnecessary tension. Their aim is simple: to distract a performing Governor and create confusion where none exists. Plateau people know better. They know the Governor’s long-standing conviction, his principled political journey, and his firm loyalty to the PDP family.
Governor Mutfwang is wholly focused on restoring peace, rebuilding infrastructure, strengthening institutions and delivering democratic dividends to every corner of the state. He has neither the time nor the inclination for political theatrics sponsored by those who fear progress and stability.
We therefore urge members of the public, party stakeholders and supporters of this administration to disregard these baseless speculations. The Plateau State Government remains steady, united and unapologetically committed to the PDP platform.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s mandate is secure, his loyalty is unwavering, and his dedication to the people of Plateau State is total.

EXPOSED: Over 2 Billion Naira “Disappeared” in Plateau State!
While the Christmas Carol Committee got only 300 million naira, the Plateau State Government claims to have spent over 2 billion naira. Yet, there is no project, no visible development, nothing to show for it.
This isn’t just mismanagement it’s blatant theft of public funds under the guise of a religious celebration. How can a government use faith and festivity to line its pockets while the people suffer?
Plateau deserves progress, not corruption. Zero accountability, zero transparency, zero development. The people are watching, and the people will remember.
When leaders betray trust, even Christmas becomes a cover for greed.

NEW EMISSARIES OF GOVERNOR MUTFWANG IN APC EXPOSED
Two lawmakers; Rt. Hon. Naanlong Gapyil, Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, and Hon. Ishaya Lalu, Member Representing Mangu/Bokkos in the House of Representatives, have now emerged as the new, inglorious emissaries in Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s desperate mission to infiltrate the All Progressives Congress (APC) through the back door. Their recent political maneuvers have raised serious concerns within the party, prompting widespread condemnation from committed APC faithful across the state.
Penultimate week leading to the grand reception of decampees into the APC, the duo allegedly embarked on a covert political expedition to Abuja. Their first stop was at the office of the Vice President, where they attempted unsuccessfully, to foist Governor Mutfwang on the APC leadership. When this clandestine lobbying collapsed, they proceeded to seek refuge in the influence of General T.Y. Danjuma, one of Nigeria’s most revered elder statesmen. Their mission? To beg the elder statesman to intervene by persuading Professor Nentawe and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to accept Mutfwang into the APC fold.
Part of their shameless requests included forcing the postponement of last Saturday’s APC event, a strategic move intended to buy enough time for Governor Mutfwang to sneak into the party. This plot, which was roundly rejected by party stakeholders, has now exposed the depth of their political desperation and willingness to undermine established party protocols for personal gain.
Insiders believe the duo is acting purely for self-preservation, driven by promises allegedly made by Governor Mutfwang. Speaker Naanlong is said to have been offered an automatic return ticket to the State Assembly, while Lalu was reportedly assured of a second-term ticket in the House of Representatives. For Speaker Naanlong in particular, this is not surprising. Reports have long circulated that before he was installed as Speaker by Mutfwang’s enforcer, Yari Kumchi, he had already signed questionable agreements that now bind him to the Governor’s political agenda.
For Naanlong, his mission is clear: break the ranks of APC lawmakers in the House and weaken the party’s internal cohesion to enable Governor Mutfwang’s divide-and-rule strategy. But the Speaker’s own political future looks grim. His fourth-term ambition is considered dead on arrival, as the people of Mikang Constituency emphatically rejected him during the 2023 elections and are poised to do so again.
Hon. Ishaya Lalu’s case is no less troubling. His unimpressive performance at the National Assembly and dwindling support within APC structures have left him clutching at political straws. Rather than rebuild credibility within his party, he has sought comfort in the collapsing political structure of Governor Mutfwang. Despite being handed the party’s Reps ticket on a platter by Fred Lalong, Lalu repaid the goodwill with disloyalty. He severed ties with his benefactor and is now surrounded by political adversaries waiting patiently to end his career in 2027.
The combined activities of these two political jobbers have been overwhelmingly rejected by the majority of APC stakeholders in Plateau State. The truth remains simple and unchanged: Governor Mutfwang knows the proper and honourable path to joining the APC. Attempting to infiltrate the party by undermining leaders such as Senator Simon Bako Lalong and Professor Nentawe Yilwatda will never grant him entry. The APC on the Plateau has moved past the era of weak links — and the exposure of these new emissaries is proof that the party is determined to safeguard its integrity ahead of 2027.

GOVERNOR MUTFWANG FORMALLY ANNOUNCES DEFECTION TO THE YOUNG PROGRESSIVES PARTY (YPP)
In a move aimed at repositioning Plateau State on the path of credible leadership, inclusiveness, and purposeful governance, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has formally announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Young Progressives Party (YPP).
Governor Mutfwang stated that his decision followed wide consultations with critical stakeholders across the state and beyond, who unanimously agreed that the YPP offers a fresh, people-oriented platform to consolidate ongoing reforms and advance the collective aspirations of Plateau people.
The Governor emphasized that his defection is driven by a commitment to restore faith in governance, bridge political divides, and champion a new vision for unity, peace, and progress across Plateau State. He reiterated his unwavering dedication to service delivery, transparency, and good governance, irrespective of political affiliation.
Governor Mutfwang called on citizens to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and supportive of government’s efforts to deepen democracy and accelerate development across all sectors.
The Governor’s move to the YPP takes immediate effect, as he continues to lead the state government with renewed vigor and broader political inclusiveness.

GOVERNOR MUTFWANG DISSOCIATES SELF FROM ANYANWU FACTION OF THE PDP, REAFFIRMS LOYALTY TO DAMAGUN-LED LEADERSHIP
Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has distanced himself from the Anyanwu-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reaffirming his loyalty and allegiance to the party’s leadership under Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagun.
The Governor made this clarification while speaking with journalists at the University of Jos, where he inspected the institution’s level of preparedness for the forthcoming Nigerian Universities Games Association (NUGA) competition.
Governor Mutfwang emphasized that the PDP is a large and resilient political family that cannot be dragged into disrepute by the actions of a few individuals. He assured that PDP governors are working collectively to address the party’s internal challenges and will soon convene an emergency meeting to find lasting solutions to the lingering issues.
Responding to questions on the recent wave of defections from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC), including that of Governor Diri of Bayelsa State, Governor Mutfwang described the development as unfortunate and regrettable. However, he expressed confidence that the PDP, like the biblical dry bones, will rise again to reclaim its strength and unity.
The Governor also commended the Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos and his management team for their impressive level of preparedness ahead of the NUGA Games. He pledged his administration’s continued support to ensure the success of the event.

John T. Akans Has No Moral Right to Speak on Morals, Culture, and Values
It is both laughable and hypocritical that John T. Akans, Special Adviser to the Governor of Plateau State, would attempt to present himself as a custodian of morality, culture, and values. For a man whose personal life has been riddled with scandals, infidelity, and shame, the audacity to preach morals to others is nothing short of insulting to the intelligence of Plateau people.
On record, John Akans has been involved in multiple sexual scandals that contradict the values he pretends to defend. Particularly shameful was the incident between the night of April 12th and 13th, 2023, when he was spotted at the popular Novel Suite Hotel in Jos. On that occasion, he physically confronted and threatened another man over a side chick. Eyewitnesses confirm that he even went as far as threatening to kill this said man over the woman. Such reckless behavior is unbecoming of any public official, but it is especially scandalous for a man who parades himself as a Knight of the Catholic Church.
Worse still, reports indicate that this same John Akans impregnated the said side chick and, in a desperate attempt to cover up his shameful deed, pushed for an abortion. This act was not only a violation of his marital vows but also the highest form of disrespect to his wife, family, and the Church he claims to represent. The evidence of these actions is well documented, and we dare him to deny these allegations, as more damning revelations are available to present to the public.
Given such a tainted record, Akans has no moral standing to attack others on the grounds of values or morality. His recent attempts to speak ill of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, a man of proven integrity and character, only expose his frustration. Prof. Nentawe’s reputation, both in his public service and private life, remains unblemished. Unlike Akans, he embodies the virtues of dignity, discipline, and self-control.
To worsen matters, Akans even sought to lecture Prof. Nentawe on how to mourn his late mother. This is beyond insensitive; it is wickedness of the highest order. Grief is deeply personal, and no one—least of all a man like Akans—has the right to dictate to a son how to mourn his mother.
If John T. Akans has any decency left, he should confine himself to issue-based politics and refrain from dragging campaigns into the gutter with personal attacks. He must understand that nobody has the monopoly of playing dirty. Once he goes down that road, he should be prepared to face equal, if not worse, scrutiny into his private life.
In conclusion, John T. Akans is in no position to lecture anyone on morality, culture, or values. His own life is a catalogue of immorality and disgrace. Plateau people deserve leaders who can speak with integrity, not hypocrites who live double lives. Akans should keep silent on morals, as his own character disqualifies him from that conversation.

Mutfwang has raised some of the most toxic media aides ever. It's absolute weakness to raise people to think of you as a god who never makes mistakes and never falls short. It's even worse when you raise people who have hearts but no brains.
If I say Mutfwang has underperformed, put facts to disprove me, not emotional insūIts and guilt-tripping.
If you're an aide, tell me how much the refurbished train costs, tell me if the buses are new or refurbished and lemme know if you know how they were acquired.
Tell me how much PLATEAU got in the past 3 months and show me workings of how the money was used.
You can't look this cute and allow someone recruit you into an army without intelligence. You should be ashamed that you don't know any other way to defend your boss asides rants, blackmails and in$ûIts.
If I never liked Mutfwang, what y'all are doing will make me dislike him the more. On the flip, you were actually called to market him and get him new faithfuls.
Well, Shame!
Confirmed report reaching me this evening indicates that 4 House of Assembly members are currently cooling their heels at the EFCC zonal office, Makurdi.
1. Pankshin North, allegedly stole over 800 million naira
2. Shendam, over 400 million naira
3. Kanke, over 100 million naira
4. Dengi, over 50 million naira
They are currently in custody.
Now you know where those millions lavishly spent at occasions and to buy properties came from.
