"Kisii's Deputy Governor, Robert Monda, Faces Senate Impeachment Following Controversy"

The Senate decisively voted to remove Deputy Governor Robert Monda from his position, spurred by his decision to involve Joseph Misati, father of key witness Dennis Misati, in his defense. The public spectacle of family discord incited outrage among many senators.

Monda was found guilty on all four counts, with overwhelming support for charges ranging from constitutional violations to gross misconduct. Speaker Amason Kingi formally declared Monda's removal from office.

Dr. Bonny Khalwale, the majority whip, underscored the likelihood of Monda's involvement in bribery, despite evidence not being proven beyond reasonable doubt.
