It is with deep sadness that the YADA Youth Wing Executives and the LOC extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Dikir United Team and the Dikir Community over the passing of one of their players, Yakini Joel, who departed this life in the early hours of Friday after a brief illness.

This is a painful loss not only to his team and community, but to the entire YADA Unity Cup family. We pray that God grants his family, teammates, friends, and loved ones the strength to bear this great loss, and may his soul rest in perfect peace.

Please accept our sincere condolences during this difficult time.

OFFICIAL UPDATE ON THE ARREST CASE:
Following the earlier reported incident, the individual involved was on Monday taken before the appropriate authority for disciplinary action. After admitting guilt to the charges brought against him, a decision was reached that he be remanded in DUMNE Correctional Center until the conclusion of the YADA Unity Cup 2026, after which he will be released.

We therefore strongly urge all teams, players, supporters, and fans to avoid any act of violence, misconduct, or behaviour that could lead to arrest or imprisonment. Let us all embrace peace, discipline, and respect for the rules as we continue to enjoy a successful and united tournament.
