The problem of Nigeria is beyond leadership.

I know that may sound controversial, but hear me out.

As a university student, I once encountered a senior student who assisted one of our lecturers. The little authority he had was enough to intimidate, harass, and make life difficult for other students.

He was not a governor.
He was not a minister.
He was not a president.
Yet, he abused the small power entrusted to him.
That's when I realized something:
The problem is not only what happens in Aso Rock.

The problem is also what happens in classrooms, offices, churches, markets, motor parks, and even our homes. Many people criticize corruption until they get the opportunity to benefit from it. Many condemn oppression until they are given a little power. Many demand accountability from leaders but refuse to practice it in their own spheres of influence.

Leadership matters. But nations are ultimately a reflection of the values of their people.
If we want a better Nigeria, we must not only raise better leaders. We must raise better citizens.

What's the plan to make our votes count?
That is my problem right now 😟

The world has moved on.
