Be thankful for everything you: your background, exposure, challenges etc. And try use them to project the grace of God in your life! At the end of it all, just make your life a good model for others to follow! Be you & let them be them!

Communication is the lifeblood of any relationship. When communication stops flowing, the relationship begins to die. If for instance, a person and their spouse are having challenges chatting and discussing like friends without being antagonistic and defensive, then that marriage is in crisis. Communication is key. The words you say and how you say them and the many unsaid words we express daily determine the outcome of our relationships with the people God has positioned in our lives. Also, understand that communication goes beyond words. Your tone of voice, your body language and your facial expressions send a message, good or bad.
Experts tell us that communication is 7% words, 35% voice tone and 58% per cent body language. From this trustworthy analysis, we can see that an individual communicates more with their body language and tone of voice than with their words. Someone can be hurt even by what wasn’t said. Many destiny-lifting and life-giving relationships have broken down, not necessarily because of what was said but because of what was left unsaid. Communication in marriage is about establishing connections. So it is important to ask yourself if you are connecting positively with the person you claim you are relating with.
APPLICATION—The most important forms of communication are those that make meaning, and the most touching communicators are those who speak with courtesy and compassion. You don’t communicate to hurt; you communicate to hold, help and heal. Don’t be like a double-edged sword described in today’s text, that continually pierces the soul and spirit of your neighbours just because you must prove a point. Even when you’re hurt, communicate with love, courtesy and respect. Most times, when you think you are defending yourself by trying to prove a point, you may be destroying your home by hurting your partner.
