MANDATORY REGISTRATION OF BONNY–BODO MOTOR PARK OPERATIONS
In line with the Bonny Local Government Council Bye-Law on Transportation Management No. 2 of 2002, which empowers the Local Government to manage and regulate transportation within its domain - all transport companies or unions operating motor parks within Bonny Local Government Area are hereby required to formally register their motor park operations with the Bonny Local Government Council.
By the directive of the Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Amasenibo Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, DSSRS, all transport companies and unions are mandated to register with the Bonny Investment Promotion Committee (BIPC) and pay all applicable operational levies.
With effect from Monday, December 22, 2025, any transport company or union operating a motor park within Bonny without due registration with the Bonny Investment Promotion Committee shall be deemed illegal and will be subject to appropriate sanctions in line with extant laws.

GOVERNMENT PUBLIC NOTICE
CONTROLLED VEHICULAR MOVEMENT DURING BONNY ISLAND MARATHON
The general public is hereby informed that in view of the forthcoming Bonny Island Marathon, scheduled to hold on Saturday, December 20, 2025, there will be controlled vehicular movement along designated routes between the hours of 7:00am and 10:00am.
The affected routes include: Finima Stadium ➡️ Finima Roundabout ➡️ Workers Camp ➡️ Wilbros ➡️ Akiama Junction ➡️ Hospital Road ➡️ Bonny Roundabout ➡️ Government School.
Motorists and other road users are advised to plan their movements accordingly and comply with the directives of traffic management officials and security personnel who will be on the ground to ensure a smooth and hitch-free event.
The Bonny Local Government Council regrets any inconvenience this may cause and sincerely appeals for the cooperation and understanding of the public.
