Although material progress is an aspect of human life, it is not the purpose of our existence. Material possessions alone has never been able to satisfy the human soul so let your spirit seek something more than material progression.

Dear parents, get your children to learn an emerging profitable skill (Not skills that are gradually becoming obsolete) before you get them into the Uni.

Today’s world is not the same as the days when you were young. Everything’s changed.

This is important because the worst thing that can happen to your children is to become frustrated graduates hunting for increasingly scarce jobs years after graduation.

It's depr+esing.
Imagine it.

After five or six years in school, they come out confused about what to do with their lives and probably too pressured to bend and learn skills or do those things they were good at.

In your quest to become mama and papa graduate, don’t be a single-minded parent who will unknowingly make life harder for your children.

Every one of your children must not go to the uni to study courses they may never have use for in their lives.

Think about today’s world. Make your decisions for your children based on what the world has become today and not based on benighted principles and outdated ways of life.

Evolve so that you can understand and help your children better.

Not all your children will be doctors, lawyers, engineers, nurses, brilliant writers, etc. Some will manifest their intellects in skills unknown to you as a parent.

Don’t limit them because you want them to be like Okeke’s daughters or Okafor’s sons.

Learn to have conversations with your children. Let them tell you what they really want to do with their lives. Study their answers and let them know the possible outcomes of their choices.

A child who’s old enough to go to the Uni. is no longer a child. Your responsibility to such a child is to provide guidance, not to forcefully compel or coerce them into playing your own game.

It's harder to parent children of this generation and to do that effectively, you must be abreast with how the world has evolved in all spheres.

Accessible information is abundant now, and your children know more than you think they
