Throwback to our Women’s Champion Training
When women are equipped with knowledge and practical skills, entire communities begin to feel the impact.
Our Women’s Champion Training brought together 5 women representatives from 6 communities — Firo, Gudum Hausawa A, Zull, Badel, Miri, and Gudum Hausawa B, empowering them to serve as community champions and change drivers within their respective communities.
Through practical and engaging sessions on financial literacy, active communication, Moringa agronomy, and other livelihood-focused topics, the women gained valuable knowledge designed not only to strengthen their own capacity, but also to be stepped down to other women and families in their communities.
Beyond the training, the initiative focused on building confidence, leadership, and a ripple effect of empowerment capable of reaching even more women at the grassroots level.

Sustainable impact grows stronger when organizations with shared values intentionally come together to listen, connect, and explore how collective action can better serve communities.
As part of our stakeholder engagement visits, paid a courtesy visit to to engage in meaningful conversations around education, youth development, gender inclusion, peacebuilding, and community impact.
The engagement created an opportunity to share visions, learn from one another’s work, and explore possible areas of collaboration towards building more inclusive, empowered, and resilient communities where young people can thrive and contribute meaningfully to social change.
At YAHIC, we believe that lasting transformation becomes possible when institutions, community organizations, and passionate changemakers intentionally work together for the common good.
We appreciate the warm reception and insightful engagement.

Throwback to our Mentors Training ✨
Change becomes more powerful when knowledge is shared by people within the community who truly understand the realities, challenges, and experiences of the people around them.
Our Mentors Training brought together 6 mentors from 3 communities for an intensive learning and knowledge-sharing experience focused on menstrual hygiene, maternal health, financial literacy, WASH, RMNCH+N, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Active communication and other critical community issues affecting women and girls.
Beyond the sessions, the training was designed to do something deeper — equip these mentors with the confidence, tools, and understanding needed to return to their communities and spark conversations, awareness, and positive change among women and families.
With support from seasoned professionals across different fields, the mentors engaged in practical and insightful discussions that strengthened their capacity to lead, educate, and make impact where it matters most.
Because sometimes, sustainable change begins with empowering just a few people who are willing to carry knowledge back to their communities.

Today, we celebrate the strength, dreams, emotions, and untapped potential of every boy child. đź’™
This year’s International Day of the Boy Child reminds us that boys also deserve safe spaces to be heard, guided, mentored, and empowered to grow into responsible and compassionate leaders.
When we listen to boys, support them, and invest in their wellbeing, we raise a generation capable of building healthier families, stronger communities, and a better future for all.
Happy International Day of the Boy Child.

Real impact is not only measured by the work we do, but also by the relationships we build along the way.
During our stakeholder engagement visits, YAHIC had the privilege of connecting with Fawoydi in a conversation centered on shared purpose, community impact, and the value of organizations learning from one another.
Moments like these continue to remind us that sustainable change grows through intentional dialogue, collaboration, and a collective commitment to making communities better.
We sincerely appreciate the warm reception and insightful engagement.

Good things happen when passionate people and purpose-driven organizations find themselves in the same room.
Still on our stakeholder engagement visits, connected with The Kairos Initiative for the needy to share ideas, learn from their work, and have meaningful conversations around community impact and growth.
Every conversation like this reminds us that impact becomes stronger when organizations choose connection over competition.
We appreciate the warm reception and thoughtful engagement.

There’s something powerful about being in spaces where conversations are driven by purpose, experience, and the shared desire to see communities thrive.
During our stakeholder engagement visits, had the opportunity to connect with Georgetown Global Health Nigeria ltd/gte (GGHN) Bauchi exchanging ideas, learning from their work, and engaging in meaningful conversations around health advocacy and community impact.
For us, every room entered, every conversation shared, and every connection made is another step towards strengthening the kind of impact our communities truly deserve.
