APPRECIATION AND APPEAL FOR URGENT INTERVENTION
The Nzam Youths Council wishes to sincerely appreciate the Chairman of Anambra West Local Government for her commendable leadership and the developmental strides recorded across the Local Government Area. We particularly acknowledge and appreciate the good works and positive impact being felt in our community.
However, we respectfully draw your attention to the newly constructed bridge in Nzam, commissioned earlier this year, which is currently showing signs of structural failure and is on the verge of collapse. Following our inspection with professionals and personnel in the field, we were informed that the bridge is sinking and requires urgent corrective measures, including the installation of at least eight additional support pillars to ensure its stability and safety.
This bridge is situated on a major access road leading to our farmlands and serves as a vital route for residents of our agrarian community. Its continued deterioration poses a serious risk to lives, property, and agricultural activities within the area.
We therefore humbly appeal for your urgent intervention to address this situation before it results in a major disaster. We remain confident in your commitment to the welfare and development of our people and look forward to your swift action.

The Mayor of Anambra West Local Government Area, Hon. Edith Nkeiru Ndive (Mmadiche) on Monday embarked on an inspection tour of Nzam-Odetamoka ongoing road construction projects as part of efforts to monitor project implementation and ensure adherence to approved standards.
Speaking during the inspection, Hon. Mrs. Ndive expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of construction, commending the contractors for their commitment to delivering projects in line with specifications.
She reaffirmed the commitment of her administration to providing durable and modern infrastructure that will enhance transportation, stimulate economic growth, and improve the quality of life of the people of Anambra West.
Mayor further urged contractors to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, quality, and safety while ensuring the timely completion of the ongoing road project.
The inspection tour reflects the Anambra West Local Government's unwavering commitment to accelerating infrastructural development and improving connectivity of Anambra West.
