In our last post, we promised to serve you with the reality of building or buying a house. Here's it πŸ‘‡

In a ready-to-move-in house, a buyer gets what he sees. There is no risk of potential changes in the future. The construction quality of the project, social and physical infrastructure and home loan eligibility can be ascertained, before ownership. There is no risk of escalating costs when it comes to a ready-to-move-in home.

However, the disadvantage of a ready-to-move-in house, is that it usually has a higher price than an under-construction property. Hence, it may not be an ideal choice from an investment standpoint.

Also, the buyer will not have the flexibility to choose the roof or floor or other configurations of the property.

In a completed property, there are no stages of construction and hence, the buyer needs to have the finances arranged. Meanwhile, an under-construction property owner has flexibility of payment. You spread the payment using construction-linked plans.

Compared to a completed property, it is relatively simpler to buy an unbuilt property and the chances of being cheated is lower.

A completed property is usually expensive, because the socio-physical infrastructure is relatively more developed. Meanwhile, under-construction properties are generally in the non-established parts of the city and hence, it is mostly cheaper. You should look at the location and future plans around that area though.
