Hussaina Omon Isiaka
Agripreneur | Farmer | Fresh Produce Enthusiast. Growing fresh, healthy produce for my community.
One thing I learned is working on a soilless farm that most people never talk about.
I spent months at a soilless farm , during my stay
Everyone talks about how clean soilless farming is, How modern, How efficient.
What they do not tell you is how unforgiving it is.
In soil farming, a plant can sometimes recover from neglect.
In a soilless system, if your nutrient solution is wrong, your pH is off, or your timing is late, the plant tells you immediately.
There is no hiding place.
That taught me something I now apply to agribusiness in general.
Systems that remove excuses also remove room for error. You have to be intentional every single day.
That is true for farming. It is true for business.
What is one thing your farming experience has taught you that surprised you? Drop it in the comments.

I owe you something new.
You have followed this page and watched me grow from a fresh produce enthusiast to someone actually building in agriculture full time.
Today I am giving you more.
I just launched The Agripreneur's Notebook, a free weekly newsletter where I write about farming, food systems, agribusiness, and the real experience of building in agriculture in Nigeria.
No fluff. No motivation quotes. Just practical knowledge and honest conversation from someone who is in it with you.
Every Tuesday I will send one article straight to your inbox. Topics like:
Why Nigerian farmers lose money after a good harvest
What nobody tells young people about starting in agriculture
How to know if your farm is actually a business
This is free. It will always be free.

I owe you an honest update.
Last year I asked you to follow a new page. Nobody moved, and honestly, I understand why. You followed me here, and this is where I should have stayed.
I am back on this page. No more redirects.
I have spent the past few years building something real. I am working in greenhouse farming, running Freshhive Ventures, consulting with farmers, and learning food processing. This is my actual life now and I want to share it here.
Going forward I will be posting what I genuinely know and do. Farm updates, crop tips, food processing insights, and the honest side of building an agribusiness from scratch in Nigeria.
If that sounds like your kind of content, stay with me. We are just getting started.

Sowing the Seeds of Resilience: My Journey as a Farmer
As a farmer, I've learned that growth and success are often rooted in uncertainty and hard work. My journey in agriculture has been a transformative one, teaching me valuable lessons about resilience, adaptability, and the importance of community.
From the early morning risings to the long hours under the scorching sun, farming has tested my resolve and pushed me to innovate. But with each challenge, I've discovered opportunities for growth and improvement.
Through my experiences, I've developed a deeper appreciation for:
1. Sustainable practices: Implementing eco-friendly methods to reduce my environmental footprint.
2. Innovation: Leveraging technology and creative problem-solving to optimize yields and efficiency.
3. Community: Building strong relationships with fellow farmers, suppliers, and customers to foster collaboration and mutual support.
As I continue on this journey, I'm reminded that farming is not just about cultivating crops – it's about cultivating resilience, perseverance, and a deep connection with the natural world.
I'd love to hear from fellow farmers, agricultural professionals, and anyone passionate about sustainable living. What lessons have you learned on your journey?
