FFS Delta Hosts Rainoil Logistics Manager, Deepens Safety Partnership

As part of efforts to build stronger working relationships and improve fire safety operations, the Logistics Manager of Rainoil Logistics Services Limited, Dr. Jude Nwaulune, paid a formal visit to the Federal Fire Service (FFS), Delta State Command Headquarters in Asaba.

The meeting focused on the need for closer cooperation between both organisations, especially in promoting fire safety practices, improving emergency readiness, and strengthening response systems within Rainoil’s logistics operations. Discussions also highlighted the importance of maintaining high safety standards, reducing risks, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across the company’s operations.

Speaking during the visit, Dr. Nwaulune appreciated the Delta State Command of the Federal Fire Service for its continued assistance and swift response to incidents over time. He praised the dedication and professionalism of the officers, noting that their support has played a key role in enhancing safety within Rainoil’s operations.

In response, the Acting State Controller, ACF Emeka Otakpor, assured that the Command remains open to working with organisations to advance fire safety goals. He reiterated the Service’s commitment to offering expert advice, training opportunities, and prompt emergency support when needed, while continuing to drive awareness and compliance with safety regulations.

The visit ended with both parties reaffirming their intention to sustain collaboration and work together towards improved fire safety standards in Delta State and beyond.

Emergency Evacuation Drill Conducted for NAFDAC Staff in Asaba, Delta State.

The Federal Fire Service Delta Command today organized an emergency and evacuation drill exercise for staff of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) Asaba, Delta State .

The training was led by DSF Enughefe Felix, head of the unit, alongside other officers and men of the command.

The exercise took place at the Federal Secretariat in Asaba and was aimed at equipping participants with practical knowledge on emergency response, fire safety measures, and proper evacuation procedures.

During the drill, NAFDAC staff were guided on how to respond effectively in case of fire outbreaks and other emergencies, ensuring safety and minimizing risks within the workplace.

Speaking after the exercise, Pharm. J.O. Ndekeli, Coordinator of NAFDAC Delta State, expressed appreciation to the Federal Fire Service officers for their professionalism and dedication in delivering the training. He noted that the exercise was highly informative and essential for improving safety awareness among staff.

Comptroller Nigerian Immigration Service Pays Courtesy Visit to Federal Fire Service, Delta State Command

The Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Delta State Command, Comptroller GC Ozodinobi, psc, paid a courtesy visit to the Federal Fire Service (FFS), Delta State Command, in furtherance of inter-agency cooperation and strengthened collaboration within the State.

Receiving the Comptroller and her entourage at the Command Headquarters, the Acting State Controller, Federal Fire Service, Delta State Command, Assistant Controller of Fire (ACF) Emeka Otakpor, expressed appreciation for the visit and emphasized the importance of sustained synergy among security and emergency response agencies. He reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to partnership in safeguarding lives and property.

In his remarks, Comptroller GC Ozodinobi, psc, commended the Federal Fire Service for its critical role in emergency response and public safety, assuring of continued collaboration between both Commands in the discharge of their statutory responsibilities.

A major highlight of the visit was the exchange of gifts as a symbol of goodwill and mutual respect between both agencies.

The Acting State Controller thereafter conducted the Comptroller and his team on a guided tour of the Command’s firefighting trucks and operational facilities, demonstrating the Service’s preparedness and operational capacity.

The visit further strengthened the cordial working relationship existing between the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Federal Fire Service in Delta State.

ACTING STATE CONTROLLER FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE, PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO 63 BRIGADE NIGERIAN ARMY, ASABA

The Acting State Controller of the Federal Fire Service, Delta State Command, ACF Emeka Otakpor, paid a courtesy visit to the headquarters of 63 Brigade Nigerian Army, Asaba, Delta State.

Welcoming the delegation, the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General M. A. Shonibare expressed appreciation for the visit and described it as a demonstration of the strong relationship between the Nigerian Army and the Federal Fire Service.

He assured the Command of the Brigade’s continued support and cooperation in the interest of safety and security.

The Acting State Controller and his management team were subsequently taken on a guided tour of key facilities within the Brigade Headquarters by the Commander.

The visit was aimed at strengthening inter-agency cooperation and fostering sustained collaboration between the Federal Fire Service and the Nigerian Army in the areas of safety, emergency response, and security.

DELTA STATE COMMAND DECORATES NEWLY PROMOTED OFFICERS

The Federal Fire Service Delta Command today conducted the decoration ceremony of its newly promoted officers at the Command Headquarters.

The Zonal Controller, Zone G, CF Awosika, who graced the occasion, congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotions. In his address, he described the decoration as a recognition of dedication and exemplary service, while charging the officers to embrace higher levels of responsibility, discipline, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

Also speaking at the event, the Acting State Controller, ACF Emeka Otakpor, commended the promoted officers and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through continued loyalty, commitment, and effective service delivery. He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to operational excellence and discipline.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of sister security agencies, including the Nigeria Correctional Service and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps reflecting strong inter-agency cooperation.
