“I'm Better When I'm Dancing” is one of my favorite songs to use during dance classes because it helps create the understanding that dance brings out the best in us. Through movement, joy, and expression, we begin to feel better emotionally, physically, and mentally. On the dance floor, confidence grows, energy is released, and a better version of ourselves emerges.

I used the song during my rural community dance classes as well, and the response was awesome. The participants connected deeply with the music, danced with excitement, and expressed themselves freely. It was beautiful to see both children and adults enjoying the moment while building confidence, unity, and happiness through dance.

I began the journey with a workout session that brought so much joy to the faces of the participants. The energy and excitement created an atmosphere of unity and enthusiasm, and even the adults joined in because of the happiness and fulfillment the session brought. It was inspiring to see the community connect through movement, exercise, and dance.

Teaching dance in a rural community last summer was a truly exciting and impactful experience. It was a journey that demanded patience, discipline, and determination in order to inspire artistic excellence among the children.

The experience was an eye-opener, revealing the beauty of using dance as a means of expression, learning, and empowerment. Our classes were carefully structured to include aerobics, workout sessions, and African contemporary dance.
