LEGIS ARM bridges the gap between Nigerians and the government by simplifying governance, amplifying citizen voices and empowering every Nigerian to participate in building the country we dream of.

The passing of the Electoral Amendment Act of 2022 marked a pivot point in Nigeria’s democratic journey. It reminded us that when law changes, so does power.

Many sitting members lost their seats because the system changed and voters saw that the system had changed.

The lesson: It’s not enough to pass laws. Citizens, parties and legislators must understand them, internalise them and work with them.

That’s where the work of organisations like LEGIS ARM (which educates, engages and empowers lawmakers and citizens alike) becomes critical. Without this bridging work, even good laws risk being ignored or mis-used.

Let us recognise this milestone, not just as an act passed, but as a moment in which many realised: democracy is real when the law is real, when technology is deployed, and when we the people demand it.

Let’s honour that turning point and keep pushing.
