The exercise reinforced our commitment to ensuring dignified return, protection, and sustainable reintegration for migrants and returnees.

Our IMRF 2026 Side Event brought together Nigerian institutions, civil society, international partners and regional stakeholders to discuss how Nigeria is emerging as a leading example of migration governance in Africa.

In collaboration with partners including CSOnetMADE, the EU, ILO, IOM, ICPMD and government institutions, the conversation focused on building migration systems that are practical, ethical, people-centred and sustainable.

Because migration governance is not just policy on paper it is about the real questions young people ask every day.
