People don’t just buy products.

They buy:

- trust
- understanding
- clarity
- and confidence.

That’s why two people can promote the same thing…
and get completely different results.

One person is only trying to sell.

The other person is helping people understand.

And in business, that difference matters a lot.

This applies to affiliate marketing too.

One thing I’ve noticed about affiliate marketing…

Many people join because of the money.
But the people who actually last are the ones who focus on learning first.

Nobody told me earlier.

At first, I thought it was all about getting a link and sharing it everywhere.

But at time goes on , I realized something,
people are not just looking for links.

They’re looking for clarity.
They’re looking for trust.
They’re looking for someone who actually understands what they’re talking about.

And honestly, that changes everything.

Because when you truly understand something,
you stop sounding desperate.

You explain better.
You communicate better.
You connect with people better.

That’s why I always say:
affiliate marketing is not just about promotion…

It’s also about communication and understanding people.

No pressure.
No hype.

Just learning, consistency, and real value over time.

The truth is, many things become easier once you actually understand them properly.

The internet can reward confidence very fast, but real life rewards evidence. Whether you support VDM or Mr Jollof, this situation is already becoming a strong reminder that things we posted online can have real-life consequences....... As creators, not every gist should be rushed to the internet immediately, especially when family and reputation are involved. One wrong accusation can become very expensive. Clout may trend for a few days, but damaged reputation and legal issues can last for years.

At the end, this is beyond online cruise now. It’s a lesson for responsibility, influence, and the importance of proof before speaking publicly..... A phone camera can make anybody trend… but it can also drag someone into serious problem

But beyond the pictures and the trending conversations online, Nigerians still want to see real action, accountability, and visible change in the system. Honestly, I wish someone had explained it to me like this from the beginning.

It’s simply a business-oriented activity that requires the right orientation and understanding to approach it the way.

I paid ₦71,000 for a business I couldn’t even touch.
At the time, it felt like a complete waste. I walked away frustrated, convinced that affiliate marketing was just another scam.
