At the 19th edition of the Nigeria Media Nite-Out Award 2025, held yesterday at the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, FAYAB was honoured with the Young Political Leader of the Year Award. In a show of solidarity and deep respect, Hon. Fayomi Abraham Ajibola (Fayab) today visited the residence of the late Hon. Obanla in Ipokia to commiserate with the bereaved family following the passing of the revered political icon, who died yesterday and was buried according to Islamic rites.

Hon. Fayomi, who described the late Obanla as “one of the strongest pillars of political stability and grassroots leadership in Ipokia Local Government,” prayed for Allah’s mercy on the departed and comfort for the family he left behind.

He urged the family to take solace in the impactful legacy of the late statesman, noting that his contributions to the political development of Ipokia will continue to inspire leaders for generations.

Hon. Fayomi further reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the family and sustaining the values that the late Hon. Obanla stood for, emphasizing that Ipokia has lost “a leader whose shoes will be difficult to fill.”

FAYAB CONCLUDES EDUCATIONAL EMPOWERMENT IN ALL 12 WARDS OF IPOKIA LGA

The Fayab Educational Empowerment Initiative has successfully concluded its final phase of writing materials distribution across all 12 wards in Ipokia Local Government, marking a significant milestone in Hon. Fayomi Abraham Ajibola (Fayab)’s ongoing commitment to educational development and grassroots empowerment.

The concluding phase saw the Fayab for Rep Team visit schools across Ipokia Ward 1 & 2, Ijofin, Maun 1 and Agada, where pupils and teachers received the team with enthusiasm and appreciation. The distribution exercise, which has touched every corner of the local government, has now delivered over 20,000 writing materials to pupils in need.

Community leaders and education stakeholders in the benefiting areas expressed heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Fayab for the intervention. Speaking on behalf of the entire Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Onikoyi and Hon. Taye Whepetonji commended Fayab for his consistent passion for education and youth empowerment, describing the initiative as a true reflection of responsive and people-oriented leadership.

Fayab Consults Ipokia APC Executives, Declares For House of Representatives

It was a moment of renewed political enthusiasm in Ipokia Local Government as Hon. Fayomi Abraham Ajibola, popularly known as Fayab officially declared his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives. He pledged to provide a leadership style anchored on inclusiveness, transparency and grassroots development.

During his consultative visit to Ipokia, Hon. Fayomi met with Local Government and wards executives drawn from the twelve wards across Ipokia. The gathering included Ward Chairmen, Secretaries, Youth Leaders, Women Leaders, and other notable stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who came together to deliberate on the political future of the constituency.

Coordinating the meeting, the APC Local Government Chairman, Hon. Taiwo Whepetonji commended Fayomi for his consistent commitment to the growth and unity of Ipokia. He urged all ward executives and delegates to rally behind him ahead of the forthcoming party primaries, describing Fayomi as “a loyal, capable and visionary leader the people can trust.”

Also speaking, Elder Lai, the Zonal Secretary applauded Fayomi’s deep connection with the grassroots and called on members to give him the necessary support to ensure a resounding victory at the primaries.

In a show of solidarity, Seven Ward Chairmen openly declared their support for Fayomi’s ambition, citing his record of service, humility and readiness to deliver purposeful representation.

Responding, Hon. Fayomi Abraham Ajibola expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Local Government Executives and delegates for their warm reception and encouragement. He reaffirmed his commitment to correct past inadequacies and uphold the true spirit of democracy by ensuring that every constituent enjoys the dividends of good governance.
