The growing rate of depression among youths is deeply concerning. Many young people today face intense social pressure, economic uncertainty, and emotional isolation, often made worse by social media comparisons and lack of open dialogue about mental health.

Though she wasn’t too young to die, the circumstances that led to her death were truly heartbreaking.
It was a moment of deep reflection and emotion. 💔

Ayodele Mujidat Balogun is the Founder and CEO of Positive Thought Pattern Development Initiative (Thotpattern). She hails from Imeko in Imeko-Afon Local Government, while her husband is from Itori Oke in Abeokuta South, both in Ogun State.

Born in 1962 in Kaduna, Kaduna State, Mujidat grew up in the barracks as the daughter of a soldier, an upbringing that exposed her to diverse cultures and enabled her to speak Hausa fluently and a little Igbo.

Her educational journey began at Army Children School and later Abeokuta Girls Grammar School, Abeokuta. She went on to further her studies at Ibadan Polytechnic, before earning an MBA from Enugu State University of Technology (ESUT) and a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Lagos State University (LASU).
