: Robert Khuleya Announces "Special Christmas Bonanza" in Shire Valley**

CHIKWAWA, Malawi- Renowned truck driver Robert Khuleya has unveiled a Christmas Eve bonanza, named the "Special Bonanza for Christmas," aiming to unearth young talent across Nsanje and Chikwawa Districts in the Shire Valley, writes Moses Thole.

The bonanza intends to scout promising players for enrollment in the newly formed under-15 team, Hanikiya FC, sponsored by Khuleya. This initiative aligns with the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) President Fleetwood Haiya's manifesto of establishing football academies for youth development, an area Khuleya aims to contribute to significantly.

Scheduled for December 25, 2023, Kholongo School will face off against Jombo School at Kholongo School Ground in Nchalo. The following day, December 26, 2023, the same teams will compete, strictly featuring under-15 players, at Jombo School Ground. Players discovered during these matches will join Hanikiya FC.

Expressing his passion for supporting football, Khuleya shared his aspirations, stating, "I hope to put our under-15 team on the map. This isn't the first time; in July 2023, I organized a similar bonanza where Chipondeni FC clashed with Jasi 2 FC."

Khuleya's involvement in sports dates back to his tenure at Nyungwe FM radio in Chikwawa district, where he worked in the sports department.

A total of K150, 000 has been allocated for this two-day event, showcasing Khuleya's commitment to fostering grassroots football development.
