Pemandu yang dikesan memandu secara berbahaya berisiko digantung atau dibatalkan lesen mereka, kata Menteri Pengangkutan, Anthony Loke.

Beliau menegaskan semua kesalahan sebegitu akan diambil tindakan tegas, termasuk mengarahkan syarikat menggantung lesen pemandu yang terlibat, seperti tindakan pantas syarikat E-Mutiara terhadap pemandunya yang tular baru-baru ini.

Menurut Anthony, tindakan menggantung lesen dilakukan bagi memastikan keselamatan pengguna jalan raya terjamin. Insiden pemandu bas ekspres E-Mutiara yang memotong di garisan berkembar di Jalan Kuala Krai-Gua Musang menjadi contoh jelas bahawa tiada kompromi terhadap pemandu berbahaya.

Puspakom Pemeriksaan Berkala boleh buat seawal 30 hari sebelum tarikh tamat bermula 17 Mac 2025

Selesa lepas, saya telah turun ke Puspakom dan berbincang dengan pihak pengurusan untuk menangani isu kesesakan dan kesukaran mendapat slot temujanji untuk pemeriksaan kenderaan. Selain langkah-langkah yang telah diambil Puspakom, MOT juga akan membantu dengan memberi kelonggaran ke atas perkara yang tidak melibatkan keselamatan jalan raya. Sebagai contoh, Puspakom tidak lagi akan menggagalkan kenderaan semata-mata kerana alamat yang tertera pada badan kenderaan telah pudar. Namun, masih menjadi tanggungjawab pemilik kenderaan untuk memastikan perkara seperti ini diuruskan dengan cermat kerana penguatkuasaan berjalan seperti biasa.
