Wondering on how vast the collection of books available for you to excess in the UTAR E-Library? Well look no further, cause weβll be providing a brief summary of the various collection available while highlighting some popular titles which are available
The E-Books that are available are already purchased from various publishers. They are also subscribed to online E-Newspapers and various online sources for E-Journals. The Dissertations and Theses of UTAR postgraduate students are available online at the UTAR Institutional Repository.
All online resources and many others are accessible through the e-library homepage. Overall, UTAR is subscribed to more than 30 online databases across all major subject areas, which provide access to articles in journals, magazines and newspapers.

A hidden gem worth to seek.
Here are some phantom tips for searching UTAR's e-library databases
1. Click the databases icon at UTAR library homepage after signing in with your UTAR ID.
2. Types of databases: There are three distinct options of databases
a. Subscribed: Databases that can be easily accessible at one's Utarians fingertips with no payment involve and it is usually for the long run.
b. Free access: Hidden trove of knowledge that are free to access for a certain period of time especially scholarly databases such as Elsevier, Mycite, Sage Publications, Science direct and many more!
c. Close access: Imprisoned knowledged cursed with the horror of the phantom. To access them, Utarians must pay a minimal amount of fee to access the phantom knowledge.
3. Browse by subject: Subject ranges from sciences, arts, linguistics, businesses, accounting and many more! A list will be provided where the initial of each subject will be highlighted inside yellowish boxes.
4. Use the search bar! : A worthy bar to hunt as UTARIANs can ease their access and save time by typing keywords or phrases to grab that phantom knowledge.

For you, seekers of the treasure known as knowledge, we of UTAR Phantom Knowledge presents to you "How to use UTAR Library Online Portal".
A myriad of books and journals in your grasp with just a few simple steps.
1. Find the UTAR Library homepage by entering "https://library.utar.edu.my/" into your preferred search engine.
2. Scroll down from the homepage to find different icons that will direct you to different online catalogues.
- For an online catalogue search for books or journals, click on the icon titled "e-books" or "e-journals" respectively etc.
- For an online search, click on the "login" icon to login
3. To login, you only need your UTAR I.D. as your I.D. and your I.C. number as your password *without the " - "
4. Now, just go to the search bar and carry on with your search.
