If you have been using the same scent for weeks, your brain can become so familiat with it that it stops actively noticing it.

This is known as “nose blindness” or olfactory fatigue.

The good news? The scent hasn’t disappeared.

Try stepping out of the room , rotating to a different fragrance, or asking someone else if they can smell it. You may be surprised by their answer 😉.

This is one of the local flower which I love a lot. It grows easily in our Malaysian weather and flowers in abundance all year round. I wished it was planted more around our city as the plant can be a short as 2 meters or as tall 30 meters. When the flower on this plant is fully bloomed, you can smell it as far as 1 meter away. It i intensely creamy and intoxicating in a good way. Making it the perfect way to scent any outdoor area naturally.

Besides having a luxurious aroma , it also has many benefits. One of which is to reduce anxiety. I loved blending it with our french lavender and geranium candle. Lighting it is a combination of soothing lavender and the soft powder floral note of geranium, while the ylang ylang gives a very rich aroma akin to the luxurious jasmine or gardenia. All while helping to melt my stress away.

I would love to see more blends with ylang ylang in our collection. Do you have a favourite blend? I would love to hear some inspiration blends.

Going through all the smiles of our customers who walked into our little cozy store in Bangsar since we moved here in 2022. Touching every nose and lighting up their eyes when they took a deep breath of our mix of scent lingering in the air. This scent card is dedicated to each one of you. This was taken awhile back. It was such a touching moment to watch this mom and daughter interacting with each other as they took turns together smelling our scents. They were so warming and felt more like besties sharing a special similar likes.
