Join Baba Cedric Tan, a sixth-generation Melakan Baba and cultural advocate, for an enlightening fireside chat on the journey of the kebaya’s bid to be listed under UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. As a key consultant to Malaysia’s submission, Cedric will share insights into the cultural significance of the kebaya in Peranakan heritage, the multinational efforts behind the UNESCO submission, and what this recognition means for cultural preservation.
