More than stone. More than furniture.

Every piece begins as a raw element shaped by time, then transformed by the hands of artisans into something that carries presence, memory, and emotion. The veins, textures, and imperfections are not hidden they are celebrated.

Designed to be lived with, admired, and passed on, each creation becomes part of the story of the spaces it inhabits.

A mirror that reflects more than an image it reflects craftsmanship, materiality, and time.

Hand-carved wooden spheres embrace the frame like a sculptural rhythm, celebrating the beauty of organic forms and the quiet power of natural textures. Designed to be both an object and an experience, it transforms reflection into presence.

For me, design begins long before a piece takes shape.

It starts with materials—their texture, weight, imperfections, and character. The process is about understanding which materials belong together, how they interact, how they balance one another, and the story they tell when placed side by side.

Every surface, every proportion, every detail matters. The way textures meet, the way forms connect, and the way materials age all become part of the composition.

Design is not simply creating an object; it is orchestrating a dialogue between materials until they come together as one timeless piece.

Recio was envisioned as an exploration of material honesty.

A space where stone, wood, metal, and light coexist in quiet balance, allowing texture and craftsmanship to become the true protagonists. Every surface was selected for its character, every detail considered for the way it would age, patina, and tell a story over time.

Rather than following trends, the design seeks permanence — creating an environment that feels rooted, warm, and deeply connected to the artisanal traditions that inspired it.

A restaurant shaped not only by what is served on the table, but by the experience of the space itself.

At Daniel Orozco Estudio, the interior design for Recio was conceived as a dialogue between materiality and emotion.
A composition of raw stone, rich woods, oxidized metals, and sculptural lighting shapes a space that feels both grounded and refined.

Every texture, shadow, and object was intentionally curated to evoke warmth, depth, and permanence — honoring the beauty of Mexican craftsmanship through a contemporary lens.

Recio is not only a restaurant, but a sensory experience carved through design.

A dialogue between raw materials and sculptural forms, where every texture, curve and detail carries its own presence. Crafted through artisanal processes and shaped by nature, these pieces are designed not only to exist in a space, but to transform the way it feels.

A sculptural exploration of texture, proportion, and materiality. Inspired by the imperfect beauty of natural elements, each handcrafted detail creates a composition where every shape has a purpose and every material carries its own story.

Sculpted through the balance of raw textures and geometric precision, this piece by Daniel Orozco Estudio explores the dialogue between volcanic stone, oxidized metal and architectural form.

Crafted with natural lava stone, textured cantera and aged steel plates, the sculpture embraces imperfect surfaces and earthy tones to create a powerful yet refined composition. Each material was carefully selected to highlight contrast, depth and the beauty of artisanal processes.

More than an object, it becomes a statement piece where art, materiality and contemporary Mexican design coexist in harmony.
