Liquid Destination

The almond eye of the Maldives. 🇲🇻 Barrel riding here is higher and tighter. There are exceptions but not really. If you’ve spent enough time here you know how much higher you have to pull up and contort to adjust. Maldivians are built for this, me not so much. Damn it. 😂

Scotty would have to be up there leading the medal count with most trips. It’s well over ten/fifteen? He’s over here twice a year sometimes. He loves going right too.😂😂Poor bastard always talks about this one trip they surfed lefts the whole time..

The drone perspective is wild when you fly it really low. Absolute perfection this day. It reminded me of one of the well known lefts over here. Some waves I could have sworn we were at that wave but we definitely weren’t.

It’s a trained eye that can look at a photo of a wave and recognise where it is. If someone can tell me where this is when looking from below I’ll give em 50 bucks 😂. To be honest it’s kinda obvious if you know the Maldives and where we like to surf. Simon "Swilly" Williams you don’t count..

Don’t hate the playa hate the game. To all my brothers out there lay down proud. I’ve realised you do need all crafts over here to keep it interesting. Short, long, bo**er, body, knee, SUP (ok that is pushing it but I’m guilty of that too 😂) Why limit yourself to boging rails on one craft. Life is too short, bog em all!

Had another swim with my housing and managed to link up a decent photo! Had a ball for a couple of days here getting barrelled. I love the variety here in the Maldives. There’s plenty of waves for turns but also plenty of waves for getting barrelled if you know where to go. Having a decent swell running helps!
