PUNCH Talks in Rodrigues: Why your business deserves its own account
In June, the MCB Business Banking team had the pleasure of engaging with local entrepreneurs in Rodrigues, through a series of meetings and interviews - stories that we look forward to sharing with you soon.
We also hosted a knowledgeâsharing session focused on two key themes:
âą From personal to professional: why your business deserves its own account
âą An overview of banking solutions designed to support business growth
These interactions held at Le Recif Hotel highlighted the resilience, determination and forwardâlooking mindset of the entrepreneurial community in Rodrigues.
Their drive to adopt smarter, more structured ways of managing their businesses is truly inspiring.
This visit forms part of our PUNCH initiatives, in line with MCB Group âBeyond Bankingâ actions : creating spaces for dialogue, sharing insights, and supporting entrepreneurs beyond traditional financial services.

Yesterday at The Pod, Moka - a simple question changed the room:
âAre we really mastering how we trade⊠or just operating on autopilot?â
Our âMCB Business Client Connect & Trade Finance Insightâ session brought clarity where it matters.
From âbanking processesâ ⊠to real tools to manage cash flow, reduce risk and operate smarter.
Clear. Practical. Impactful.
Big thanks to our MCB Trade Finance experts for making it all make sense.

On Wednesday 18 March at MCB St Jean, PUNCH Talks created more than just a session - it sparked real conversations.
Micro Enterprise clients sat with our Business Banking and Legal teams to unpack what it truly means to run a company - beyond the numbers.
From legal structures to directorsâ responsibilities, employee obligations, and the weight behind guarantees and facility agreements, the exchange brought clarity where it matters most: in the decisions entrepreneurs make every day.
A heartfelt thank you to Sapna Dwarka, John Savournaden, and Mervyn Mooken for making the legal framework of companies and financing obligations accessible, practical, and real.
Because access to finance opens doors - but understanding what you sign shapes your journey.
