Just finished a refurbishment on this Gigabyte Windforce GTX 770. Even though it’s a few generations old, these cards were built like tanks.

I did a complete teardown, deep-cleaned the triple-fan array, and swapped out the old, crusty thermal paste for some fresh high-performance compound. After putting it back together and testing, the temperatures are significantly lower and it's running smooth as silk.

It’s amazing what a little maintenance can do for older hardware. Who else is still rocking a classic GPU in their secondary rig?

I just finished refurbishing this MSI Twin Frozr R9 270x Hawk Edition. It’s a legendary overclocker’s card that was struggling with years of dust and thermal neglect.

I carefully disassembled the card and scrubbed the heatsink fins, cleaned the dual fans, and wiped the PCB with 99% isopropyl alcohol. I swapped out the dried out factory thermal paste for high-performance MX-6 compound to ensure maximum heat transfer.

The results?

Massive improvement! Dropped from a throttled 85°C to a rock-solid 64°C under load.
Passed a stress test with zero artifacts.
It’s whisper-quiet again now that the fans don’t have to work overtime.
