Dragonfly // Mazzarell - this is what we decided to call our home 🩵 and yes that is the door / aperture colour of our build from 1930 🩵 our has almost been finalised, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you! But, in the meantime, I wanted to share my latest design, which I must admit, I’m pretty happy with! We will only have one dragonfly door knocker - I love our designs a little too much, and I couldn’t decide! So it will be an asymmetrical pair 🥰 These were lovingly cast by my husband .chetcuti at 🩵

How do we feel about this pink and blue beauty with mustard accents? Captured in just last week, every time I walk past this facade, I have to stop and admire the gorgeous …. They really don’t make them like this anymore 💕✨🩵

I’m not sure I could ever, accurately describe, the intense joy I derive when I come across a build that has been lovingly restored or taken care of… where the apertures, stonework, brass have all been given thought and attention. This beauty was captured in Ħal-Qormi, today 💙

A man and his (classic) car 🤍
When you’re out walking and photographing solo, the opportunities simply present themselves. I gravitate towards classic cars like a magpie ‘preys’ on anything shiny. I must have been documenting parked classic or vintage cars for the best part of a decade - as long as I’ve had this account. Marsa is a phenomenal place to explore… so much character, so many details. I was out walking this morning, prepping for next week’s Where the Bored Things Are , organised by and supported by , when I stumbled on this glorious sight 🤍 part of the magic of slow, local travel!

And here I am 🧡🍑🧡🍑
A few months ago, got in touch with a project proposal titled: Where the Bored Things Are. Given the context grounded in community engagement and slow travel through planned , and the delicious reference to , there was no questioning my participation. Across April and May, I’ll be leading 4 photowalks: 2 in Hamrun & Marsa, and another 2 in the Three Villages (Balzan, Attard, Lija). Participation is completely free of charge, however places are limited. More info can be found via 🍑🍑🍑
The photos carried here are a panoply of happy moments of pure perfection, captured during one or more of my photowalks.

beauties from the early 20th century; from a bygone era when our house names were given such prominence that they become an integral component of the facade 🧡🤍
